Hey guys!
Well, today was another great day on the farm. I woke up bright and early at 5:40, ate breakfast, and got to the farm at 6:30. We started the day by pouring milk into some buckets and sending them to the cafeteria. We keep all of the milk in a big container that pasteurizes the milk and empty it every thursday. After we emptied the tank, I washed the outside of the tank and cleaned the milking stalls. Once that was done, we started to milk the cows as usual. I took data down again, only today I took down the time things happened that how long it took, so instead of timing things with a timer I just looked at the time and wrote down then things started and ended. It was easier and I can keep track of more cows with this system.
We ended early today (11) so I got to go home, shower, and relax for most of the day. I had a spanish class which went over really well! I'm starting to speak more and I'm remembering tenses better.
Oh, and this weekend is going to be a big adventure! I'm going to spend saturday afternoon into tuesday traveling around Costa Rica with a college group! We're going to be visiting a indigenous community, go to a national park to see turtles nest, and stay at the beach. I'm going with Killian and other college students from the US. It's going to be great!
